Enumclaw have a gift for incredible hooks, and their latest single ‘2002’ is filled to the brim with them. Over the course of its two-minute runtime, the band cram in more memorable moments than most do in an entire album thanks to their ethereal, atmospheric sound and warm, sprawling textures. “I wrote "2002" kinda trying to be sarcastic about how I wake up every day and try to be the worst possible huma,” Aramis Johnson explains. “Then when I talked to John the director, I wanted to communicate in the video a chaotic feel and how I wanted to take that narcissist perspective and put it into the spirit of the visual and song.” Check out their 2021 EP Jimbo Demo. -Dan Peeke
